Itinerary

Day 1 - To Dharamshala

In Morning Pick up from Chandigarh/Delhi Airport/Railway Station and drive to Dharamshala. It takes approx. 5h 30m from Chandigarh to Dharamshala & approx. 9h30m from Delhi to Dharamshala.

The journey from Chandigarh/Delhi to Dharamshala is a scenic and varied one, offering a mix of terrains and beautiful landscapes as you travel from the plains to the mountains. As you travel towards Dharamshala, the road passes through picturesque valleys, lush green forests, and winding mountain roads. There are several small towns and eateries along the way where we will stop for refreshments.

Day 2 - Dharamshala Sightseeing & Dalhousie

After breakfast at the hotel check out and drive to Mcleodganj.

McLeod Ganj:

Tsuglagkhang Complex (Dalai Lama Temple):

A significant spiritual center that includes the Namgyal Monastery, the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama, and various shrines. Visitors can join in meditation sessions and explore Tibetan culture.

Bhagsu Waterfall and Bhagsunath Temple:

An enchanting waterfall located amidst lush green surroundings. The Bhagsunath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is nearby and attracts many pilgrims.

Tibetan Museum:

Offers insights into the Tibetan culture, history, and the Tibetan struggle.

Later in evening we will move towards Dalhousie (120kms, approx. 3hrs journey). On arrival check in the hotel, Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 - Dalhousie Local Sightseeing & Khajjiar excursion

After breakfast at hotel proceed for full day sightseeing tour in Dalhousie. Drive to Khajjiar, on the way visit panchpula, then drive to Khajjiar full day excursion. local sightseeing of Dalhousie, Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chowk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least Old Churches of Dalhousie. Evening Back to hotel to Dharamshala. Stay & dinner at hotel.

Khajjiar (Mini Switzerland of India): Known for its picturesque landscapes, Khajjiar offers lush green meadows, a small lake, and dense forests. It's an ideal spot for leisurely walks and enjoying the natural beauty.

Dainkund Peak: It is Highest Point in Dalhousie, Offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills. There's a temple at the top dedicated to Pholani Devi.

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary (Nature and Wildlife) : A haven for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers, known for its diverse flora and fauna. Offers trekking trails and beautiful scenery.

Panchpula (Scenic Waterfall): This spot has a waterfall and a beautiful stream that originates from the Dainkund Peak.

Subhash Bawli: Named after Subhash Chandra Bose, this is a serene place surrounded by tall pine trees. It's believed that Netaji spent time here during his stay in Dalhousie.

Satdhara Falls: Known for its seven beautiful springs, which are believed to have medicinal properties due to the presence of mica.

St. John's Church (Historic Church): Built during the British era, the church has beautiful architecture and tranquil surroundings.

Chamera Lake (Scenic Lake): A reservoir formed by the Chamera Dam on the Ravi River. It offers boating and beautiful views of the surroundings.

Bakrota Hills (Scenic Views): Offers breathtaking views of the Chamba Valley and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.

Day 4 - Dalhousie –Amritsar

In This Morning After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Amritsar. After arrival a visit to

Wagah border - The Wagah Border is a border crossing and ceremonial border gate between India and Pakistan, situated near the Pakistani city of Lahore and the Indian city of Amritsar. It's one of the only road border crossings between India and Pakistan. The border has historical significance and is known for its daily evening flag-lowering ceremony.

Golden temple - The temple is known for its stunning golden façade and architecture. The dome and walls are covered with gold leafing, giving it a distinctive and magnificent appearance. The Gurdwara is surrounded by the Amrit Sarovar, a sacred pool of water that has religious significance. The pool is considered to have healing properties, and devotees take spiritual baths.

Day 5 - Amritsar to Chandigarh

After breakfast at the hotel guests will be transferred to Chandigarh/Delhi Airport/Railway Station for homeward journey.
